Quick Note on a Friday at home

Hi guys! I am stay9ing home on a Friday! YES I AM!

Anyway I have just watched American Idol semi Final 2. GOSHI really wanna faint already!

It’s like…the contestant kept picking the wrong songs and sang terribly!

Except this two contestants!

Adam Lambert- Paula said : I feel like I am not watching American Idol but I am watching Adam Lambert’s concert! I think he is certainly one of the strong ones in the batch! He is kinda hot too!!!

Allison Iraheta – She sang “Alone” by Celine Dion. It was so fantastic!!! Strong vocal definitely!

Fingers crossed that they get through, as for the third spot, I don’t really care. The rest were pretty crap anyway.

On another note, tomorrow I am going to the NATAS Travel Fair to book my family’s trip to Hokkaido, Japan in July! We want to go and see Lavender!

Can’t wait for that to happen! Hope there would be good deals as well!More details to follow shortly!

Tianjin

Hello all!

I am already in Tianjin. There is broadband in the room that's why I am utilising it!

I have been so busy ever since I've touched down in Beijing.

It's 1am and I haven't even had my dinner!

Just ordered room service..and it's taking ages!

After 'dinner' needs to work on the agreement again!

AND BEST PART IS Tomorrow I have to wake up early as well!

sigh...............

However, I Must admit that I learned a lot through this matter lah! and the meeting was quite interesting!

okla...bk to work for me!

I don't even have time to go sightseeing yet!

Off to Tianjin!

I am off to Tianjin for work. Probably going to be there for quite a number of days. I hope can still attend P'ng's wedding on Sat but what to do.

Wonder how is it like over there.

Hope to have some time to walk around and explore the city for a bit!

Discrimination by Singaporean?

Well, after working in Singapore for almost two months now and based on my experience..

YES...by only a small group of Singaporeans.....!!!

..only those young generation.

You see, sometimes it's just the way they look at you or talk to you. They think that I am stupid is it?

There are small group of people which is causing the problem!

Some can pretend that they don't know you even though you have been introduced or you have talked to them before! It's like when you start talking in Malaysian ascent, they look at you one kind!

Anyway, does it mean that there is something wrong the education system or it's just particular group of individuals who are acting that way?

Other than these people with attitude, I am blessed to have nice people around me as well!!!so, who cares about them!?

I am planning to go back on 28th June to catch the musical Beauty and the Beast, if work permits. Time for yam cha!

Work is getting more busy for me now but it is still manageable. Collegues are nice generally. Yesterday we went to Boat Quay for Happy Hours! It's nice to have a drink by the river. Most of my teammates are guys, btw! which some people would think that it is a good thing because it is not so hard to get help from guys!

Back from Singapore!

Finally I am back from Singapore!

Finally I have found my accommodation in Singapore!

and Finally I am really moving away from Malaysia!

So tired...tak boleh tahan the bus ride! Today it was 6 hours ride because many buses from Singapore coming into Malaysia. I think next time I should take a flight instead. It was so torturing to sit in a bus for so long!

I know I haven't been updating my blog but please don't give up on me okay!

New hairstyle, new life and where I went on Mother's Day!

Gosh, things that a girl will do to look pretty!

I was sitting at the hair saloon for a total of 5 hours to cut, perm, highlight and colour my hair.

It's tiring and it's quite difficult for someone as impatient like me to sit there for so long!

It costs me RM368 for everything! It is quite cheap compared to a lot of the hair saloon in KL.

They are currently having this promotion for the month of May and June.

Mine is RM368 because I did perm, colour and I top up RM80 for highlight to show my curls.

Anyway I wanna stress that I am not paid to write this post to them. I just think that they really have the skill and the package is really worth it!!! Good things must be shared with others what, right!

Went to U Village @ Sungei Wang after getting my hair done. Same concept and type of food as KimGary. It was my first time there. Overall, if you happen to be in sungei wang, you can give it a try!


I had their pork chop spaghetti - It was yummy!


Jerry had their pumpkin pork chop fried rice with an egg - It tasted real good too but the pork chop itself is a bit dry- Big portion, can be shared between two person

On Mother's Day, we went to the New Formosa restaurant at SS2, after reading review from Masak-Masak.

I wanna warn you guys that the service here is real slow. My sister was the first one who arrived at the restaurant at 6.15pm and we have to wait a long time before all our dishes are served! The waiter and waitresses there are not that friendly, they are just okay only. Funny is that they have two indians waiter serving the customers and one of them never even once smile. The place isn't exactly big as well. Go before 6.30pm on weekend to avoid the Q and start ordering food because you will have to wait!

Oh ya..and also, someone's bag was snatched just one minute after me and my sister left the place! My mom was waiting for my dad outside the restaurant but she didn't see how it happened, she just saw the girl lying on the floor after the incident. GOSH...

What is Malaysia turning into?!

Luckily I am leaving for Singapore :p

Got to pack now, tomorrow I am on a mission of househunting in Singapore.

A Big Step in Life - My decision to relocate to Singapore

As mentioned in my previous post, something drastic is happening in my life. I am relocating to Singapore to practice law in a local Singpore law firm. Yes, It is indeed a major decision in life. Having spent two years+ in Malaysia after graduating from UK, this means I have to adapt to a new environment all over again.

It all started from my previous trip to Singapore. We went there to celebrate Christmas. Little did we know Singapore will be our next destination. After coming back from Singapore, we started researching on whether Malaysian lawyer can practice law over there. Upon researching, we found out that a foreign lawyer can actually apply to practice Singapore law in corporate, banking and finance area in Singapore. So after much discussions, we decided to just put in our application first. Upon getting response from some law firms, we went over to attend the interview.

One week went by and we didn't hear anything from them. Then suddenly, Jerry got his offer which he decided to take up. By the time, i still did not hear anything from the law firm I went for interview. At the point of time, I really thought we are going to have a long distance relationship, which I have very little faith in. Another week gone by and Finally I had my offer as well! The offer is real good.

Actually I have no issues with my current boss, I am thankful that he taught me loads of conveyancing knowledge. However, I think that I am quite bored of doing the same thing again and I don't really want to stay my comfort zone anymore. Of course I am sad to leave my family who has relocated to KL because of us wanting to work in KL but I believe that my parents only want the best for me. Thank god Mom understands and she told me she will come and visit me once a month although I know that deep in her heart she really don't want me to be away from her again.

Therefore, after much considerations and acceptance by my family, I have decided to move to Singapore.

New job, new life in Singapore!

Actually I really have no clue as to whether I will like living in Singapore. First of all, I have to take MRT ok? I mean i could take cab sometimes but the cab fares aren't that cheap as well. Now you know why Singaporean girls are slimmer than Malaysian girls. And also FOOD! What about all the nice food in Malaysia? I am so going to miss them!!! ?And there is also no more home cooked food and mommy's soup etc etc... Loads of people telling me different things about staying in Singapore. Luckily I do have many good friends working in Singaporean and I hang out with Singaporeans during my university days a lot. But well, I will just have to experience it myself instead of listening to this and that, right?

So, right now I need some advice as to accommodation. I kind of don't really want to look for a property through an agent. So, I would appreciate some help from you guys. Of course, worse come to worse, I would need to find an agent.
