Chinese New Year is here again! SO FAST....
Before my post on my trip to Chinatown, I would like to say that I am very happy because my primary school friends found me through my blog! GOSH... you know how this feeling is...there are people actually reading my blog and these are my primary school friends! And I thought I would never find them again because there weren't any email address or mobile then...*did I just reveal my pontential age?* HEHE This also make me feel like I should definitely try to update my blog more often as I have been neglecting it...
ok back to CNY! Ya...It's here again!!! Well, to get some CNY feel, I went to Chinatown last Sunday. Well, newspaper reported that there are some 80 stalls selling CNY goodies and I figure that I should refrain from visiting shopping mall, you know, the normal activities for those staying in Singapore.
Took a bus there from Bishan, Bus 54 I remembered. It took us 1.5 hours including waiting time! So slow, I would have taken the MRT although I am lazy to change line at Doby Ghaut! It would have been just.. 1/2 hour? Well, good thing about taking bus is that you see a lot of Singapore! Bungalows, nice condos,...not just HDB! Makes me start wondering that it would not be a bad idea to settle down here if I have a nice condo/bungalow(preferred) of my own!
Tried some function on my new camera, cool eh?
while waiting....
Finally there! Chinatown point I think...got the CNY feel yet?
This is damn cute!
Not forgetting the main character this year! MR COW...
embrace the crowd!!
Woohoo! Look at the red sea!
pretty...
essential ingredients for yummy CNY meal
heart shape bamboo for the lovers
I had fun exloring the stalls but I didn't stay there for long as it was getting very hot with the crowd. It's definitely worth visiting and to get some CNY feel.
With this post I would like to wish everyone a prosperous year ahead!
新年快乐! 恭喜发财!
