My CNY Celebrations in Pictures!

Hi all, hope everyone had a great CNY~!!!

As for me, I am very happy because I get to meet up with so many relatives and friends that I haven’t seen in a while.

Best part for me was to meet up with my primary school friends, I haven’t seen them in more than 10 years’ time!

I am so GLAD that we have this opportunity again! Even more amazing is that we have so much to talk about, trying to fill each other’s up about what happened in the past 10 years.

Adonis Private Party with Myolie Wu 胡杏儿

Anyone who loves watching Hong Kong TVB series would know who Myolie is.

I was invited to the private party organised by Adonis, the beauty saloon chain as I am their regular member. Myolie was in town to participate in the MediaCorp Star Awards as well.

The event was in Vivocity, last Sunday. It was scheduled at 11am so we had to get there by 10.30am to get a good seat. It was so hard to wake up so early on a Sunday, seriously. I've actually seen her in Berjaya Times Square previously. Ops, the photos are in my computer at home. Sorry! Thought of showing you guys!

So off we sleepy head arrived in Serenity, Vivocity at 11am sharp. The event has yet to begun.

simple decoration..

There aren't many people actually...I was thinking how embarassing it is for Myolie to walk in with half of the seats not filled... I suppose if this event is in Malaysia, you can't even get in! I think Singaporeans prefer their own MediaCorp stars.

She came 10mins later...standing in front of me

some poor fans have to watch from outside

Photobucket
The founder of Adonis with MC of the day. She looks like a very simple woman. I would never thought of her as such a career woman if I see her walking on the street.

Photobucket
Myolie who smiles all the time!

came to sit in front of me again

Myolie's mini fan club

some members invited up the stage to play games

Photobucket
Can tell that she is a really friendly and sweet person, very down to earth. Aren't she feels tired to smile all the time? I admire her professionalism..

Photobucket
a photo with her mini fan club

Photobucket
cheers!

Photobucket
Then it was photo session with all the members present. She didn't exactly smiled when I took this photo with her. Guess she was already too tired haha..

Photobucket
She then changed into second outfit. Can see that she is really slim and tall!

Photobucket
Lastly a picture with the founder of Adonis Group.

Thanks to Adonis for this opportunity!

I will be home this Thursday night! YAY!

Busy weekend in KL

Story is I was suppose to go back to KL on Thurs night itself! Then last minute I have a meeting to attend on Fri so I have to forgo my flight back on Thurs night and got a bus ticket back to KL.

As usual, the bus journey for me was so intolerable! Not because of the bus itself but the journey is simply too long! It took me almost 6 hours to get home!

But then it was my father’s birthday so I ought to go back and at least have dinner with him!

So I did!

Oh I love my new sunny from Gucci! I didn’t think I need a sunny at first but the bf wants to buy one and I thought why not as I haven’t bought one in almost 10 years time! Time to get one huh!

Did some survey in singapore previously and I absolutely love Gucci’s sunny! Saw some nice Salvatore Ferragamo too but heck it was about RM1300 maybe because of its bling bling?

Anyway this is my baby now! costs me almost RM600!

It’s not total dark kind of sunglass..but gradual dark…sales girl said it can be worn outdoor and also indoor!

Bought this coz I adore these gold studs! It’s rocker style attracts me!

DSC03597

Trying to act cool but why I pout?

Celebrated my Father’s Birthday at the Oriental Pavillion, Jaya 33.

From L to R: Crab Roe tofu (tasted a bit bland to me), chargrill pork ribs (no ribs at all, its just meat! I wonder why its called pork ribs) and the must order lamb racks! (still as tasty as ever)

Also ordered Peking Duck, the duck was just too big for the 5 of us..We ended up full after this first dish!

Didn’t bring my camera home so all photos were taken by my phone.

Oh went to Ministry of Food dessert also as my sis was having craving!

DSC03590

our tea time snacks, Tuna egg wasabi sandwich. I love this! Very unique with wasabi!

DSC03588

My sis's craving! I haven’t had this before in Singapore but I must say the sweet potatoes are crispy and good to go with the ice creams and the red beans!

DSC03591

Mom had this and she said it’s way too sweet for her!

Sunday brunch with sis at Marmalade. Always wanted to try this out but always gone to Delicious! Finally I think Delicious suck because 1. you always have to queqe 2. the staff there can’t understand what you said on first attempt 3. the portion of their food has shrunk tremendously 4. the menu is always the same!

DSC03615

Love the wallpaper, I must have cute wallpaper for my kids’ room in the future too!

DSC03619

My “Green Egg”, actually egg with Pesto sauce..em..think it’s too much pesto sauce for me but I am happy with the amount of avocado and mushrooms I have although I must admit that Delicious’ bread is nicer! Well, you can’t have the best of both worlds can you?

DSC03621

Sis’s “hearty Brekkie”, she got four chicken sausages as we don’t eat beef bacons. Simple food for the soul!

I think I will try out the rest of their brunch items again! The food came fast as I was rushing to meet up with my friends.

Went to Paddington Pancake House at the Curve. Ordered this dessert pancake. IT was huge! Couldn’t finish even half of it, probably because I was too full from brunch!

DSC03623

Friend had their Grilled lamb which costs RM35 and he commented it was horrible! I think the standard must has dropped because I used to love their food!

Anyway with all these activities packed in the weekend, I came down with fever and on MC today.

Work again tomorrow!

Hope it will be a good week ahead! Good luck everyone!

My B Day 2009 – PART 2

Yes this is the second part and final part of my B day celebration!

For B day dinner, we went to Forlino @ One Fullerton. My friend actually recommended this restaurant to me, saying that the ambience is romantic and the food is fantastic!

I was really looking forward to the dinner but I also felt very full from my B day lunch earlier!

IMG_0266

On the way to Forlino…the long walk….this is the underpass in the Fullerton Hotel

IMG_0308

dimmed staircase up to the restaurant

IMG_0267

The traditional menu which consists of the Chef’s signature dishes!

IMG_0270 IMG_0271

One of the dining rooms where we had our dinner

IMG_0272

One picture before our dinner.

We ordered one traditional menu and another main course.

IMG_0274

Complimentary Foccacia Bread from the restaurant..made by the Chef’s wife. It’s a bit too hard for my liking.

IMG_0275

Complimentary Calamari, a wee bit too oily, if not it will be perfect

IMG_0277

View outside the window..that’s the Merlion Park down there and Esplanade on the right side of the picture

IMG_0278

Appetizer: Home Cured Meat Platter -Parma Hams..love the one at the middle of first row.. its so THIN

IMG_0279

The Middle Course- Veal Ravioli. I didn’t taste it but J said it’s delicious!

IMG_0283

My Duck Pasta with Foe Grais . I love this! The amount of the sauce is just right and it’s heavenly with the taste of Foe Grais!

IMG_0284

Mama Lamb Chop from the traditional Menu. I am surprised that although its deep fried, this lamb chop does not taste dry and hard at all. What is the secret?

IMG_0285

There is cheese inside! What a brilliant idea!

IMG_0286

Then…there is also a complimentary cake from the restaurant!

IMG_0291

Me with the cake!

IMG_0290

me with the boss who foot the bill!!! People says we look alike? Do we? What do you think?

IMG_0292

His dessert: Chocolate Mouse. It’s actually very good but I was too full to finish it!

With all that, our meal was happily concluded.

IMG_0300

I simple adore the corridor! It’s so classic..!

IMG_0304

and the red couch!

Forlino is definitely recommended for special occasions as it is a bit pricey. Do give it a try if you need to celebrate anything! I believe it will become more popular as it has already gained such good publicity only after its opening for 8 months. We took a walk after the dinner and returned home after.

IMG_0325

It was a great birthday celebration for me. I am truly blessed with people who care about me…

Anyway Valentine’s Day is also coming up but I do not think we will try another fine dining again as I am craving for some down to earth food like pork ribs etc!

Well, We will see…..
