Tokyo, Nice to Meet you! Part 3- Tsukiji Fish Market

This is the No.1 place to go in Tokyo!!!

IMG_2013

There are so many eateries surrounding the market!

IMG_2014

We were starving and our hunt for the best sushi in the market: Daiwa Sushi!

IMG_2015

we walked for so long..about 30 mins and Daiwa Sushi is still nowhere to be found! We had to ask around..and luckily most of the Japanese people there knows about this shop and we followed through their directions.

IMG_2016

signage on the floor, I thought its quite cool!

IMG_2017

Almost there!!!

IMG_2024

THERE YOU GO! We were so lucky as they were closing and there aren’t any queue! Amazing isn’t it?!

IMG_2018

The shop is TINY! We ordered the set lunch, priced at 3500 Yen, equivalent to about SGD55! Expensive you might think, but now I really regret of just having one set!

IMG_2019

TORO , can you see how shiny the sushi is!Creamy, buttery, melts in your mouth!

IMG_2020

and presenting THE BEST UNI SUSHI I’VE EVER TASTED IN MY LIFE! Gosh, it was so FRESH….I can taste the ocean in my mouth, amazing and unique feeling!

IMG_2022

Every piece is perfection, from the presentation, down to the smell and taste.

Writing this post made me feel like flying there just to eat this and come back again, yes, it was that great of an experience!

You HAVE TO drop by Tsukiji market to eat these sushi if you are in Tokyo, if not you will come back with regrets!

Tokyo, Nice to meet you! Part 1

Finally after so many years of wishing and hoping, I finally visited Tokyo!

We were there for mere 3 days after visiting Hokkaido. 3 days is obviously NOT ENOUGH but nevermind la better than nothing!

We stayed in Toyoko Inn, Monzen Nakacho branch. It was a 8min walk to the subway station. 8 mins is not very long but it is considered long in the hot summer in Tokyo! The room is tidy and clean although they are of minimal size, I have no qualms about it. You guys can try their other hotels, they have it in many locations across Japan. The price is ranging from 9000yen I think. Check out their website for more details!

After resting for a while, we went to Ginza!

IMG_1916

It was a Sunday so the whole road was closed. Check out how sunny it was!

IMG_1917

Hello Ginza!

IMG_1919

We were famished so we had something to eat at Ginza Tenkuni, one of the restaurant recommend by our guide book.

IMG_1920

Mixed Tempuras

IMG_1921

Tempura on rice – this is so yummy! but I think rather expensive, probably about S$30 ish..

IMG_1931

I was having a bad hair day but who cares, too excited! I AM IN TOKYO!

This pastry shop is also recommended by our guide book, their buns are soft and not too sweet!

IMG_1952

we then roamed around Ginza..check out their amazing buildings with cool lighting

IMG_1946

All the branded shops are located in Ginza, you can definitely find the brand you are looking for!

IMG_1929

Next up, we went to Tokyo Tower for Tokyo’s night scenery!

IMG_1962

I think Eiffel Tower is much nicer actually!

IMG_1961

Views from the Tower

got this coach bag from the outlet mall, regretted it because it wasn’t so cheap, costs about S$500+, could have gotten it cheaper from US i think.

Anyway, after this post, TOKYO!!!!!! the exciting capital of Japan and also the world’s MOST EXPENSIVE CITY!
