There are still massive restoration projects going on at Angkor Thom involving other countries such as Japan, Germany, India, China and etc. Most of the pillar at Angkor Thom has collapsed so please try to go soon because then you would be able to see the original architecture.
Another good thing visiting Angkor Thom and Angkor Wat is that you can basically TOUCH whatever you SEE there! No restriction whatsoever. I remembered we can't even go near to Stonehenge in England!
all the stairs are real steep!I pity the people last time, have to climb so much everyday!
on top, the Sweetest smile among all, according to our guide
with the face that smile the best!
They call this the walk to Heaven!
Unfortunately it is closed due to restoration work going on
Moving on to the Terrace of the Elephant where the King usually sits to witness the elephant fight
These engravings are the Flying Garuda, which is commonly found in most of the architect in Angkor Thom and Angkor Wat.
