Angkor Thom, Cambodia

We went first to Angkor Thom for the 1st half of the day.

Some of the statutes at the entrance of Angkor Wat was headless because people stole them away! How can they destroy their own culture and history?!

You can an elephant experience too there but I think it costs around 20USD

There are still massive restoration projects going on at Angkor Thom involving other countries such as Japan, Germany, India, China and etc. Most of the pillar at Angkor Thom has collapsed so please try to go soon because then you would be able to see the original architecture.

Another good thing visiting Angkor Thom and Angkor Wat is that you can basically TOUCH whatever you SEE there! No restriction whatsoever. I remembered we can't even go near to Stonehenge in England!

In this picture you can see the difference in colours of the stones, the yellowish stones are those after restoration. Check out the engravings! The craftmanship is so impossible!
