Hong Kong Trip Nov 08: Part 2

My food journey continues in HK. Again you will find below food that I have tasted in Hong Kong and I will tell you whether you should waste your time making a trip there! Just my honest opinion...

I always love having steamboat because I love drinking soup. When I watch TVB drama, the actor/actress always go for steamboat and I always want to try their pork bone soup base.

There you go, I tried it in HK! Went to this place called 有骨氣 as featured in brother CK's website. This place is located near, 尖沙咀 堪富利士道 11號地下至3樓(尖沙咀港鐵站A2出口) Tsim Sha Tsui station A2 exit. His website gave me some tips of my food exploration in HK.

This is my favourite, the pork neck meat! The meat is in thin slice, so that it can be cooked properly.

some special fish ball, there too many that we ordered until I can't remember what is this d..

Overall,I would recommend you to give this a try. This restaurant is popular among the locals. When we went there, there are no foreigners except us.

Jerry also wanted to try the 大排檔 street stalls in HK as he also watched too much TBV series! haha..so JErry's HK friend brought us to Temple Street 廟街 to try it out.

again I was very hungry so I ordered this pork bone porridge first. The porridge has been cooked until its like soup, very Canton style except that there are not much taste as there aren't any ingredients left in the porridge.

HK street style escargots! This didn't taste very good.

嗾嗾鸡, this is basically curry chicken HK style. The chicken is v tender, not bad.

嚎饼 if you force me to just recommend one dish, i will recommend this. This is pretty special, but a bit too oily for the ladies.

You can't expect cleanliness and poteliness from the waiter from a street stall but what you can experienced is what the local people at Temple Street have for their dinner/ supper. Do it the HK way, they say!

Hi Sheryl, I'm glad that you went to try the steamboat out of my recommendation. It was nice, isn't it? :)

My cousin brought me to 有骨氣 too, when I went to HK 2 years ago. Nice. You didn't order the crystal custard dumpling? Damn special.
