HCMC – Com Nieu Saigon

This restaurant was visited by Anthony Bourdain before, and he really adores this restaurant! The owner of this restaurant, Madam Ngoc, is his god mother. Too bad she passed away few years ago.

They have a few branches.

This is the best fried spring roll I’ve ever had! Crispy outside, flavourful vegetables inside. Shiok!

steamed clams, I love the sauce..the clams are very fresh as well

A MUST order is their baked rice!

Actually the rice is nothing to shout about, although it has quite a unique taste. The unique part is the below!

The waiter will break the claypot first, took out the baked rice and throw it across the corridor to his fellow waiter!

Another Vietnamese dish, Coconut prawn. Again the prawn itself is very fresh coupled with coconut smell, a unique dish indeed.

Our last dish, fish soup, I don’t fancy this dish due to the smell of the river fish!

Really couldn’t take the smell of the river fish!

The service was impeccable, it was such a wonderful dining experience!
